1000 Miles Later // Adventures of Disney World Part 2

|| Part 1 ||

After 2 hours driving to the train station, and then waiting 4 hours until the train finally left, and then being on the train for 17 hours and then driving 1 more hour, we arrived, 1000 miles from where we started, in Kissimmee, Florida. We are renting a house in Kissimmee and are literally only 7-8 minutes away from Walt Disney World. :)

Since getting off the train yesterday morning, we ate at Denny's, came to our lovely house, unpacked the van, went swiming in our pool, unpacked our suitcases, went grocery shopping, enjoyed the sunset over the lake in our backyard, went on a walk in the 70 degree weather and enjoyed the neighbors Christmas lights, ate dinner, slept peacefully on the wonderful beds, woke up and are now about to walk out the door to go to Magic Kingdom :)

One thing about being in Florida right before Christmas is, it's so incredibly weird to be walking around in shorts and t-shirts in hot weather and seeing Christmas lights, and Christmas trees, and "Seasons Greetings". I must admit, I like living where it gets cold for Christmas.

  1. Same here. ;) For me it just isn't the same without the cold, chilly weather that comes each year with Christmas.

    That is so neat that you guys were able to travel by train! I've always wondered what it would be like, but perhaps someday I will. ;)

    Take care, and hope you and your family have a blast at Disney World!
